Our Origins
Interlink Digital was founded in 1996, initially providing link building services to early adopters of small online businesses. We helped these pioneers leverage the internet's level playing field to compete with established brick and mortar corporations.
That same year, our founder Nick Cookson built LinkCentre.com, a simple internet directory with search functionality that rapidly expanded to serve users in over 180 countries.
Navigating the Evolving Web
Throughout our history, LinkCentre.com has adapted to remain relevant despite the changing digital landscape. We've witnessed the rise and fall of search and directory giants such as Yahoo, Altavista, WebCrawler, and Lycos as Google rose to prominence alongside the emergence of video and social media.
During this evolution, we established notable partnerships. LinkCentre.com briefly provided Lycos UK with directory results and hosting through our company Happily Hosted. We also received invitations from Google to explore integrating new ad serving technologies into third-party websites.

Our Growth & Current Operations
Originally incorporated as Interlink Advertising Limited in 2004, we changed our trading name to Interlink Digital Group Limited in 2026 to better reflect our expanded service offerings. We remain the same registered company, retaining our original company number and VAT registration.
